Earl Leonard

Earl Leonard has been playing guitar since he was sixteen, but writing and singing songs for as long as he can remember. As the singer and rhythm guitarist for Melbourne blues/folk band The Red Cents, the Ballarat rock-band The Rye Catchers and as a solo performer he has toured all around Victoria, much of Australia and parts of the UK.

Between his two bands Earl has released two albums, two Eps and three singles, writing slightly more than half of the songs. Both bands have featured on various compilation disks too and received generous airplay on radio stations such as Melbourne's Triple R & PBS, the national youth network Triple J and Ballarat commercial station Power FM. Actually the Rye catchers Yeahnah single (that reached number 5 in the national AIR chart) was played on community stations in every state and territory except for the ACT (but that's pollitics for you).

Earle is a passionate musician who is highly regarded within the Ballarat Music Scene. He is ideally suited for one of shows including weddings and kids birthdays. As a solo acoustic artist he can build a great vibe at any wedding and can also work with his blues / folk band The Red Cents if you are after some more lively entertainment.
